The assault resulted in the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
