The Renowned Musician Urges Backing to Get Together for Palestine Track to UK Christmas No 1.

A campaign is aiming to send a cultural melody to the top of the UK charts. The campaign hopes to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also highlighting Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Chance for Solidarity and an "Surprise Victory"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a moment to show solidarity with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“That would be amazing if that happened, yes,” he stated. “I wouldn't be completely disheartened if it fails to, Christmas singles are a thing unto themselves.”

Defiant Message of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the reimagining of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“It has a deeply meaningful spot for countless listeners,” Barghouti explained. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than live a life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Production History and Star-Studded Lineup

The single was laid down following a major charity concert held in the autumn. Initially planned to be captured during the live event, the rendition was cut from the show due to scheduling overruns.

The impressive roster of artists featured on Lullaby includes a range of acclaimed names from the industry. All took part in the September show, which successfully generated a substantial amount for humanitarian aid.

Production and Release

Lullaby was produced by a group of talented individuals. The track showcases a fusion of the heritage language with contemporary English verses.

The group managing the campaign have stated that their objective is to raise as much as possible for a specific fund. These donations will be allocated to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an established charity.

“There is no a specific target,” a representative explained. “We’ll go for whatever we can get. Obviously, the greater the amount, the better. It all goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was described as its widespread damage, with a huge proportion of buildings said to be in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a handful of millions doesn’t make a massive dent. But I think what does make a difference is first of all making this cause better known and showing the human dimension of the story.”

The song is set to be released this Friday. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made available for streaming on a digital service from mid-December.
