Footage Shows Local Motorist Recklessly Skidding Around Traffic Circle at Illegal Vehicle Gathering
Law enforcement have released shocking footage depicting a driver performing dangerous drifting maneuvers on a traffic circle during an illegal car meet, placing spectators at grave danger of harm.
Court Ruling for Reckless Driver
An individual aged 23 from Southampton was given a jail term of 27 weeks, deferred for 12 months, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.
In addition, the judge issued a one-year license suspension and ordered unpaid work along with a rehabilitation program.
Details of the Incident
As stated by authorities, the recording was filmed at an unauthorized car meet in the city on 28 December 2024, showing the individual driving a pink BMW.
“This footage shows the alarming moment when a reckless driver skidded on a roundabout at an unauthorized vehicle event, while spectators looked on ignoring the risk of severe harm.”
Broader Crackdown on Illegal Car Meets
Officials stated that more than 200 offences related to unauthorized vehicle events in the region have been addressed in approximately 12 months.

- More than thirteen thousand pounds in fines imposed
- Sixty-nine demerit points awarded
- Four drivers banned from operating vehicles
- Seventy-six on-the-spot fines distributed
- Fifty-four prosecutions brought to trial
Official Statement
A police sergeant remarked: “Residents, motorists and our roads policing teams have had enough with these groups of motorists thoughtlessly occupying streets and parking areas and we refuse to accept it.”
He added: “These events are not only a complete nuisance, but they also place participants and innocent bystanders at risk of severe harm.”
The statement concluded: “Our efforts will persist to take legal action against these individuals and I hope these recent cases serve as a caution: you won’t get away with it.”
